1 enclosed purged workstations are ideally
suited for use throughout oil rigs, natural gas
processing, chemical manufacturing plants and
production floors which require Class 1 Div 1
equipment.
Tough
The VT550ESW workstation is built to withstand
the harshest conditions with a sealed, purged
Class 1 Div 1, stainless steel enclosure.
There are no external vents which helps to protect
the VT550ESW purged computer components
from dust, dirt, moisture, chemicals oil, and
other external contaminants.
Airtight
A sophisticated closed-loop thermal management
system utilizes a bi-planar finned, anodized aluminum
heat exchanger to keep the purged computer's
internal operating temperatures low. VarTech's
rugged Purged Computer series operator
interface systems allow for the placement of totally
enclosed hardened computers into areas classified
as hazardous (explosive). Intrinsically safe,
this purging (pressurization) approach ensures
that there will always be a continuous clean air-flow
out of the enclosure thereby preventing the intrusion
of explosive gasses or dust into the enclosure.
Shock and vibration isolation is provided at two
levels -- on the chassis and in the drive bay
-- for protection in severe vibration environments.
Guarded
The add-in cards are protected by a patented card
hold-down system, preventing card movement and
intermittent failures. Cards are installed and
removed individually for easy field upgrades.
