VarTech's Class 1, Division 2, Groups A, B, C, and D industrial workstations and LCD computers, use a Type Z purge system which operates by forcing air or an inert gas through the enclosure until all of the hazardous gas is removed (purging). After purging, constant pressure is maintained within the enclosure & equipment inside the enclosure can be energized.

Z Type Purge System for Class 1, Division 2, Groups A,B,C,D

This system is for use in Class I, Division 2, Groups A, B, C, and D. It regulates and monitors pressure within sealed (protected) enclosure(s), in order to remove and prevent flammable gas or vapor accumulations. The system accomplishes four air exchanges and maintains a "safe" (0.25") pressure.

* Includes form "C" contacts for audible or visual alarm systems.
* UL, cUL & FM classified
* In accordance with the NEC - NFPA 70, Article 500,
   NFPA 496 and ISA 12.4.
* Enclosure volumes to 15 cu. Ft.
