VarTech’s Class 1 Division 2 certified touch panel displays and LCD computers are fully-enclosed, gasket-sealed, and non-incendive (incapable of causing a spark or ignition under normal conditions) to allow human-machine interface (HMI) and operator interface terminals (OIT) in hazardous (HazLoc) environments where explosive or flammable gasses and vapors may exist during an abnormal occurrence such as a leak. Our C1D2 HMI panel mount designs provide the same level of hazardous area protection when properly installed in a qualified, sealed enclosure. Purge and Pressurized Panel Workstations and LCD Computer Workstations
These fully-sealed touchscreen computer workstations are designed with a purge and pressurization system that can be configured to allow for safe operation in many hazardous area environments. The gasket-sealed workstation's internal components are protected from flammable gasses or explosive elements by pressurizing the enclosure with clean air or inert gas. VarTech Systems offers several purge types for our sealed HMI panel workstations and operator interface terminals.
