VarTech Systems has introduced two new VESA/wall mount computers to the ToughStation series of fully enclosed HMI systems. The new VTPC150VS is a NEMA 4X, fully sealed and gasketed, 316 stainless steel enclosed, all-in-one computer with a 15.0" integrated LCD. The new NEMA 4 VTPC150V all-in-one computer with a 15.0" integrated LCD has a black anodized enclosed casing, and is fully sealed and gasketed.

The VTPC150VS and VTPC150V save valuable space with a VESA mount configuration and the fully enclosed design without any ventilation slots and external fans makes them completely splash-proof and so achieves NEMA 4X/4 (IP66/IP65) protection. These industrial PCs are equipped with high-contrast, extremely durable industrial TFT displays that guarantee good readability, even under very poor conditions. They are integrated with resistive touch panels which ensure simple operation even with gloves worn. They are ideally designed for factory process automation, pharmaceutical operation, and other rugged environments needing NEMA protection against windblown dust and rain, splashing or hose-directed water, and damage from ice formation. The VTPC150VS and VTPC150V also operate in temperatures ranging from 0° to 50°C with an optional operational temperature of -20°C using a thermal management system. The stainless steel enclosed VTPC150VS also has the extra corrosion protection inherent in a NEMA 4X rating.

These fully sealed computers are equipped with an industrial grade 15.0" TFT LCD, high performance Intel Pentium Core Duo 1.73 GHz Processors, 120GB Scorpio Fast Access SATA 5400 RPM Hard Drives with ShockGuard™ technology, 2GB of system memory, Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 950 and Windows XP Professional operating system.

The new industrial grade fan-less panel mount computers from VarTech deliver a powerful computer system integrated with an industrial grade LCD. The benefits of a fan-less design are zero dust intake increasing reliability and silent operation. A regular fan cooled system pulls air into the computer which in a dust prone area can lead to fan failure due to dust build-up. If that happens the CPU fan will have to be replaced and probably the components the fan is designed to protect from overheating as well. Silent operation is a benefit for any computer operator but may be essential in areas such as hospitals, recording studios, or libraries.

VarTech offers a 15.0" and 17.0" NEMA 4X (IP66) 316 stainless steel fully sealed beveled frontal bezel and fan-less panel PC as well as a 15.0" and 17.0" black anodized NEMA 4 (IP65) enclosed fan-less panel PC. Both come with resistive touch screens. Each has a multitude of input and output connections. The NEMA 4 (IP65) model with black anodized casing also has a frontal bezel USB port access door.

VarTech Systems has recently released the newly designed SuperCube fan-less industrial computer. Engineered with a fan-less architecture this model achieves zero dust intake increasing reliability, silent operation, and lower power consumption.

The SuperCube is equipped with a VIA 1GHz C7 Eden processor, 120GB Scorpio Fast Access SATA 5400 RPM Hard Drives with ShockGuard™ technology, 1 GB of system memory, AGP graphics controller with MPEG-2 video decoding acceleration, and Windows XP Professional operating system.

The SuperCube has a rugged all aluminum small form factor enclosure. Multiple mounting options are available including an anti-shock and anti-vibration mobile mounting system making the SuperCube an ideal choice for rugged outdoor mobile applications. The compact size of the vehicle mount computer allows for concealed installation in any available mounting location.

The robust SuperCube computer can either be purchased separately or installed within any VarTech industrial grade workstation and most of the VarTech all-in-one computers. ToughCube technology is also the basis of VarTech's new NEMA 4 (IP65) and NEMA 4X (IP66) fan-less panel PC computers.

VarTech's 2008 trade show season began with ATX West / West Pack which was being held in Anaheim, CA January 29 - 31. On display were many of VarTech's fully enclosed LCD display systems and computer workstations including the newly designed VESA mount NEMA 4X all-in-one model and Vartech's new line of NEMA 4 and NEMA 4X panel PCs.

VarTech's representatives met allot of wonderful people, many of whom were very interested in implementing our products in their facilities. The West Pack coordinators were amazing and we look forward to next year as well as South Pack coming up March 19 and 20th.
