VarTech's 19.0" rugged panel mount LCD computer systems deliver industry leading display quality and high power performance computing. These systems offer a large selection of input/output connections, resistive touch screen, and the ruggedized protection of a sealed NEMA 4 or 4X front panel. Manufactured in VarTech's North Carolina manufacturing facility, these all-in-one computer/LCDs are engineered and assembled with only top quality components and not a mixture of low level made electronics.

The VTPC190P and VTPC190PSS panel PCs are both sealed at the front bezel for protection against water, dust, and other airborne contaminants. The NEMA 4X (IP66) rated VTPC190PSS has a 316 stainless steel beveled frontal bezel whereas the VTPC190P is rated NEMA 4 (IP65) and has a black powder coated aluminum frontal bezel. The VTPC190P also has two extra USB connections behind a sealed easy access door on the front of the bezel. These units both have a wide operational temperature range of 0°C to 60°C with an option of -20°C available.

The core computer in the VTPC190P and VTPC190PSS is an Intel based Core 2 Duo 1.73GHz Mobile T5300 high performance processor complimented by 2GB (optional 4GB) of system memory. The hard drive is a 120GB SATA, although an optional solid state drive is available too. These models come with built-in graphic acceleration using an Intel VGA with GMA 950 technology. The standard operating system is Windows XP Pro, however alternate OS is available. Universal power input: AC 90-240V (Optional 12/24 DC). The input/output connections include 1 DVI-D port, 2 RS-232 COM port, 2 LAN ports, 4 USB 2.0 with 2 more on the front of the NEMA 4 models, and 2 Audio jacks with an optional RS-422\485 port. An optional DVD or CD drive is also available.

The LCD TFT displays for these models have 19.0" screens with a native resolution of SXGA, 1280 x 1024, and a resistive touch screen interface. The brightness levels are 300 nits with a 700:1 contrast ratio.

The LED backlighting is driven by VarTech’s advanced VTLED driver technology, the latest in technology for driving solid state High Bright Light Emitting Diodes (HBLEDs).

These sunlight readable computers are ideal for high ambient light and/or harsh weather condition areas. These units have an impressive super sleek design whether in a panel mounting configuration or fully protected by a fully-enclosed 316 stainless steel housing or light-weight all aluminum black powder coated enclosure.

And if that’s not enough, each of the following models are as well equipped with VarTech’s ultra-rugged touch screen technology, Armor Touch. This unparalleled touch technology lends itself for use

throughout real-world applications that will be exposed to extreme abuse. This unique touch screen overlay is contamination-resistant. The top sheet is hermetically sealed with pressure sensitive adhesive with a 30 year rating and is unaffected by harsh cleaning fluids and other noxious substances, and is as well perfect for demanding environments where it is equally unaffected by dirt, moisture, snow and rain. This touch screen technology offers AR <= 0.5% photopic reflection, a vacuum deposited antireflective optical coating that is applied to the outer surface of the sensor armor glass. It goes through a relatively high temperature process so the coating is very durable and is designed to meet industry standards such as SAE AMS-2521 and MIL-C-675.

Armor Touch is a sound solution for applications such as the battlefield, public kiosks that are prone to vandalism, systems deployed into heavy engineering or mining environments, general ruggedized equipment, etc. For more information about Armor Touch, please click here.
