VarTech spent over a year and significant financial resources in researching its LumiVue enhanced range of high brightness displays. To overcome the biggest hurdle, which was heat output, VarTech developed and pioneered an advanced thermal management system, which enables the display screen to be entirely visible in any light without damage to the LCD panel. VarTech Buys Digital Dynamics ToughStation Division

Keith Henderson, Chief Operations Officer, announced this month that VarTech Systems Inc. has concluded an agreement to buy the ToughStation product line from Digital Dynamics (DDI) of Scotts Valley, California, effective May 7, 2007.

VarTech Systems Inc. expects to ramp up production capabilities over the next 30 days and assume responsibility for all new business related to the ToughStation product line effective immediately.

Both parties agree that the sale and transfer of responsibility for building the ToughStation product line from DDI to VarTech is a good business decision for the companies and their customers.

VarTech Systems Inc. is a seasoned manufacturer of rugged display systems for industrial and harsh environment applications. Its product line has included several models of DDI’s ToughStation Products for the last two years. By taking over full responsibility for the ToughStation line, VarTech will be in a position to use its extensive in-house engineering, manufacturing and testing capabilities to improve and expand the product line. VarTech Systems Inc. is augmenting its metal working and production capabilities in its North Carolina and Pennsylvania facilities to help handle the increased business.

Selling the ToughStation product line will allow DDI to focus on its primary OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) business and products.

Next Trade Show Display - National Manufacturing Week

Thanks to all who visited our display at the East Pack Trade Show last month in New York. The show was a great success and gave us the opportunity to meet many current and potential clients.
