VarTech Systems recently moved its LCD and Workstation Engineering, Design, and Manufacturing Operations to a new 24,000 sqft. state-of-the-art facility in Horsham, Pennsylvania. This will allow VarTech to further expand its engineering, production, and assembly operations and capabilities.

VarTech currently has three North American facilities:
1. Horsham, Pennsylvania , USA - 24,000 sqft. facility for
    LCD and Workstation engineering design and
    manufacturing
2. Clemmons, North Carolina, USA - 41,000 sqft. facility for
    Computer design/assembly and fully-automated metal
    fabrication. (see photos)

3. Baton Rouge, LA, USA - 12,000 sqft. facility for sales and marketing. (see photos)

The new Pennsylvania manufacturing facility layout provides more efficient production flow and quality check point system for all aspects of its operations of engineering, production and assembly. Every job that flows through the various work areas is controlled by a more comprehensive Q.C. system including a "Job Jacket" containing a detailed bill of material (BOM), a production "traveler", specific assembly instructions, and Q.C. and testing procedures associated with that particular project. These measures insure consistency of product is maintained.

A new Class 10,000 Clean-room for actual LCD/touch-screen sub-assembly highlights the new Technology Assembly/Testing area established for flat panel displays/computers and workstations. Automated test and assembly tools are used to conform to industry standards. Certified Technicians perform all work within this separate Technology area. Once completed the sub-assemblies move on to the general assembly area for inclusion into workstations or display housings.

The General Assembly Area is a Class 100,000 Clean-room run by a highly experienced, trained team of production workers whose varying expertise and specialties include: purge/I.S. systems, flat panel displays/touch-screens, computers, keyboards, etc.

A Class 100 Clean-room is undergoing the final stages of completion for use as VarTech's Optical Laboratory where new optical technologies will be developed.

VarTech has upgraded its VTPC104ESC Model, Fully-Enclosed, NEMA 4X (IP66), All-in-One Computer with integrated 10.4" LCD. It now boasts an new VIA C7 1.5 GHz CPU and a new VIA Integrated Graphics Processor.

VarTech introduces it's new VT460X series, 46.0" Widescreen, All-Weather, 1080p Hi-Def, Sunlight Readable LCD. This NEMA 4 (IP65) rated display is perfect for outdoor digital signage and other harsh ambients environments.

VarTech now has the VT520 52.0" LCD series available. There are a number of different mechanical mounting configuration available, including VESA wall mount and bench-top mount. VarTech’s revolutionary optical bonding process (VBOND) for sunlight readability can also be incorporated. These industrial grade LCDs are encased in a rugged, aluminum housing making the VT520 series the perfect display for rough environments such as factory floors and public area signage.

These very large widescreen LCDs are true high definition 1080p displays meaning they have a 1920 x 1080 resolution with progressive scanning. Progressive scanning is a much cleaner, faster, and better quality imaging technology than the 1080i interlaced scan. These LCDs also have an extremely fast 6.5 millisecond response time.

The VT520 series boasts a high luminance level of 500 nits. It also has a very high 1500:1 contrast ratio which is even higher in the ultra contrast enhanced, sunlight readable VT520WVB and VT520DVB models with VBOND technology.

VarTech's 52.0" industrial grade LCDs have many distinguishing features such as a very wide 176° vertical and horizontal viewing angle which utilizes Super MVA technology. Other features include PIP/PAP functionality, a configurable ambient light sensor, an LVDS interface, a high 72% NTSC color saturation level, an SDI input serial loop-through, and auto configuration for HD-SDI and SD-SDI. Input connections include D-Sub 15 pins, DVI-D 24 pins, Component, Composite, and S-Video.
