Advanced Thermally Managed High Bright LCDs Available as NEMA 4
(IP65) and NEMA 4X (IP66) Panel Mounts VarTech’s new line of Ultra-Bright LCD systems equipped with its proprietary thermal management system has expanded. Now NEMA 4 (IP65) and NEMA 4X (IP66) models are available. VarTech’s well known, industry leading, superior gasket protected solid aluminum (NEMA 4) and 316 stainless steel (IP66) bezels are offered. Any high brightness backlight system will consume a significant amount of power, thereby increasing the LCD temperature. The brighter the backlight, the greater the thermal issue. Additionally, if the LCD is operated in direct sunlight, additional heat will be generated as a result of sunlight exposure. VarTech System's has engineered an LCD system so that temperature issues can be eliminated through proper thermal management display design. Since damage to expensive displays from high levels of heat is a real possibility; VarTech’s HBL-series products avoid this problem by blowing a cooling stream of air across the front and back of the delicate LCD display panel. A small air gap above & below the display is positioned to allow room for cool air to enter and exit the cavities in front and behind the display. Fanless ToughCube - More Powerful Than Ever VarTech Systems has recently released the ToughCube, a dynamic system based on the most powerful small form factor industrial computer in VarTech's product line-up. The fanless ToughCube is equipped with the latest technology including Intel’s new 1.73 GHz Pentium Duo Core processor and delivers the ultimate in high performance rugged small form factor computing - without the added noise. The fanless ToughCube industrial computer is designed with a heat sink in order to regulate temperature in a wide range of harsh industrial environments. In addition to quiet operation, this fanless computer, provides the unmatched benefit of increasing the life expectancy of an industrial computer by eliminating failures that may be caused by the fan. The ToughCube is equipped with 2GB of memory (standard) and a multitude of I/O ports (expansion ports available). Impressive features, such as a DVD/CD-RW drive, built-in gigabit LAN, USB and Firewire are included in the base system. The ToughCube has been engineered with a vibration dampened, high performance Scorpio hard drive to enable operation in the harshest environments. The Scorpio HDD delivers best-in-class performance with low power requirements comparable to much slower notebook drives. In addition, you'll get the quietest 2.5-inch drive on the market with real-time data protection technology to help keep your data safe along with low power consumption that yields increased reliability. ShockGuard technology protects the drive mechanics and platter surfaces so that the ToughCube can operate in tempestuous environments. DuraStep Ramp technology locks the heads in a secure position away from the disk to provide another layer of protection when the drive is not in use. Utilizing the most technologically advanced material available, the drive can perform a minimum of 600,000 load/unload cycles without contamination - up to twice the performance of its competitors. Additional vibration dampening bushing protection has been integrated on the exterior of the drive to provide the most advanced form of protection available. The rugged all aluminum small form factor enclosure measures about the size of a hard cover novel yet surpasses performance of most desktop computers and notebook PCs. Multiple mounting options are available including an anti-shock and anti-vibration mobile mounting system, an ideal choice for rugged outdoor mobile applications. The compact size of the industrial computer allows for concealed installation. Various mounting options are available including a Mobile Vehicle Mounting System with additional vibration dampening protection. Come
see what all the buzz is about! VarTech will be making its last
trade show appearance of 2007 at Process Expo being held
October 15 - 17 in Las Vegas. We will be displaying many
of our industrial monitors and computers in booth #6527.
The
recent updates to our trade show display captivated many visitors
during our first ever appearance at the National Manufacturing
Week trade show which was held September 25 - 27 in
Rosemont, IL. In addition to our water jet
monitor display, visitors were able to actually touch the water
in the aquarium display which houses a fully functioning water proof
monitor. Many attendees were impressed by the quality of VarTech's
newly released NEMA 4X Panel PC. In order to show the capabilities
of VarTech's rugged displays, a video which shows VarTech products
operating in tough conditions was filmed in-house and displayed
on our 32" large screen display. All of these products and
maybe a few new surprises will be on display in Las Vegas.
