Designed to be non-incendiary in C1D1, C2D1, and C2D2 environments, Type-X and Type-Z purge systems are available on our ToughStation Purge-Protected Computers.
C1D1 environments are host to ignitable concentrations of flammable gases, liquids, or vapors under normal operating conditions. Type-X purge systems, included in these ToughStation computers, are a requirement to safely operate such equipment in C1D1 areas.
C2D1 areas, where combustible dust is present, also need Type-X purges for electrical equipment.
C2D2 environments are where flammable gases, liquids, or vapors are not present under normal operating conditions but could be present under abnormal operating conditions. Type-Z purge systems, which our ToughStation computer offers, are a requirement to safely operate such equipment in C2D2 areas.
