RoHS Compliance Statement
VarTech Systems is committed to providing
our customers with environmentally friendly products compliant
with the European Union RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances)
directive. The RoHS Directive (2002/95/EC) addresses the design
phase of products and aims to restrict the use of six hazardous
substances from electrical and electronic equipment (EEE),
for the protection of human health and the environment. The
main requirement of the RoHS regulation is that from July
1, 2006 a manufacturer may not put a new EEE containing lead,
mercury, cadmium, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated biphenyls
(PBB), and polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDE), in amounts
exceeding set maximum concentration values, on the market
throughout the EU. To meet this directive, all components
within a product must be examined to assess levels of restricted
substances.
VarTech Systems recognizes the environmental
value of the RoHS directive, our engineering departments have
been designing new products using RoHS compliant components
since January 2006. In addition, the majority of our current
product lines have already transitioned to meet the RoHS compliant
directive.
