The customer needed a ruggedized, fully sealed computer solution for integration into a vehicle weapons launch system. The application required a rugged and weatherproof unit that could support high-performance computing with a powerful processor, substantial RAM, and a robust video capture card.
The solution had strict military requirements and specific installation criteria to adhere to. System components had to fit in a space-efficient design and facilitate a wide array of methods for connectivity that allowed for tight coupling with other mission-critical hardware.
VarTech Systems partnered closely with the customers’ engineering team to develop and produce a custom All-Weather computer to their specifications.

The customer successfully deployed their first batch of custom All-Weather units in the battlefield and exceeded mission critical performance requirements. The customer realized increased situational response times from the All-Weather’s enhanced processing power and video capture card and eliminated the equipment failures that were experienced using alternative rugged computing solutions.
The sturdy architecture, rugged design, and advanced capabilities of the All-Weather unit endured brutal outdoor operating conditions, severe weather, and constant shock and vibration effects while mounted on the military vehicles. The rugged All-Weather computer's durability not only lowered long-term maintenance costs but also increased the lifespan of the customer’s mission-critical hardware and technology on the battlefield.
Following this All-Weather project’s success, VarTech Systems manufactured several batches of follow-on orders to build out the customer’s vehicle weapons fleet. VarTech continues to build on their position as a go-to provider of advanced military technology with continuous product innovation.
